I’m back, baby!
Well, after tomorrow that is. Our summer camp will be finished tomorrow.
“So what’s been going on, Will?”
Let me tell you.
I’ve moved into the new studio. I’ll be spending much time here the next two weeks. Jeani & Liam are in Minnesota til the end of the month. I’ve got a few photo shoots lined up over this period, but I want more (hint, hint). If you’ve wanted to do a shoot, this is a great time to call.
Also, please stop by as I’m right downtown (349 State St., Salem, Oregon). We’ll have some coffee & talk.
(if you’re viewing this on the front page, there are some iphone shots of the new space after the jump)

Male Senior Photos
(Please Click Here for info about Senior Photos)

While I’m known more for my live music and music promotion, commercial & editorial photography, I do more personal photography as well (e.g. Senior Photos, Family Photos, etc.) One of my strengths is making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. This is especially true of the guys. Now how do you advertise that fact, and not come off as creepy?

Anyways, if you talk with anyone (male or female) who has worked with me, you will here the same response – that I make them comfortable in front of the camera. I take pride in that fact, and believe that goes a long way in creating the type of images you want.

I’ve created a new site that focuses on my more personal portrait work – seniors, families, etc. Check it out.

Will Bragg Photography Launches
My new website, Will Bragg Photography, launches today. The portfolio here at William Bragg dot com is targeted more for commercial, editorial & music clients.
But I do quite a bit of portraiture as well. I’ve decided to separate the two focuses with a new website. My style here doesn’t always reflect what some people are looking for in their portraits, though it works for my commercial, editorial, and musician clients.
So if you are a high school senior (or soon to be), or anyone who is looking for fine portraiture work, please check out Will Bragg Photography. And spread the word.

HMB Visual is launched!
I alluded to this in yesterday’s post:
HMB Visual is a photography & design studio featuring William Bragg Photography and Neanderthal Productions. It was created over some favorite libations at Venti’s Basement Bar and Pete’s Place bringing together a talented, dedicated and creative team. The brainchild of photographer William Bragg, the other team members consist of designer Timmy Myles & aspiring photographer and production man, Jake Horton. The new studio is located at 343 Court St. NE downtown Salem.
Look for more information really soon.

Senior Portraits, Salem, Oregon
For information on Senior Photos, go here.
Like the Wedding photography questions, I’ve been receiving many inquiries if I shoot senior portraits or senior photos. Quick answer, yes. Yes, I do.
You can find more info about packages here. Some examples:

Wedding Photographer, Salem, Oregon

I’m often asked if I shoot weddings.
I don’t advertise I do weddings. (this post excepted)
The answer is more complicated than it should be. But the quick and easy answer is yes, I do shoot weddings.
To briefly elaborate, I think it’s fairly important that you like and respect your photographer to get the results you desire. As I feel strongly about this, I don’t just accept any job, especially weddings, unless we meet first and decide if we are a ‘fit’ for one another.
This is a (severely) abridged example of a wedding I shot recently in Forest Grove, Oregon:

You want your portrait? How bout the most photographed alley in Oregon
For information on Senior Photos, go here.
I know you’ve seen it. You can’t help it. Your walking downtown Salem, Oregon, and you pass by the alleyway. You know the one I’m talking about – the block ringed by State St., Liberty St., Court St. & Commercial St. And there is practically a line of subjects and their photographers for a senior or student portrait session. Invariably they also take the shot in the exact same spot in the alley. Now there are some really talented photographers around here, but how about a little creativity? You might as well get your photo taken in front of the same backdrop at Sears, JC Penney, or one of the other photo chains in the malls.
